    • VETERAN PASSES, BE BURIED HERE-

      The indelible scar of the world war came into view again here today with the news of the death of Fred N. Hutchens, who passed away at a government hospital at Memphis, Tenn, after a confinement for the past several months.

      The Morgan County veteran and former Decatur resident, passed away Wednesday morning.

      The body will be returned to Decatur, arriving here at two-thirty o'clock Thursday morning and will be conveyed to the residence of Mrs. E.C. Hutchens, 617 5th Avenue west.

      Funeral services will be conducted from the residence on Thursday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, Rev. John R. Turner, of the Central Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be made at the City Cemetery, Brown directing.

      The deceased is survived by his mother, Mrs. E.C. Hutchens, one sister, Mrs. Effie Southard and a nephew, William Southard.
